Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for her A-levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman stated that she regrets that she did not have a traditional college experience. When she was at school, Coleman was part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The show was awarded a prize to her for her presentation, while the show received an enthusiastic reception. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman got the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was awarded two awards in 2007. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two awards: The British Soap Awards as the most promising newcomer and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman won a TV Choice Award nomination in the category of Best Actress. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman would as the Doctor's companion along with Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat chose her due to her ability to work with Smith, and that she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the film industry since 1987. However she has been more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva is most well-known for her roles as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. The latter gave Eva two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to express her creative side through music. Eva is an entrepreneur, in addition to an actor. She has been married thrice and has a daughter from her previous husband.
